Wauneta Care & Therapy Center opened in 1970 through the efforts of the Frenchman Valley Development Corporation. We have undergone much change in the past 47 years, including name changes. We were known as Kinder Kare, Friendship Villa, Kinder Kare again, Heritage of Wauneta, and Sunrise Heights. Recently, we had to change our name again due to a Trademark infringement. So, Wauneta Care and Therapy Center was born!

Over the course of nearly 50 years, we continue to thrive through continued support from our friends and neighbors!

WCTC is both Medicare and Medicaid certified. We can also assist you with any Long Term Care insurance you have as well.

WCTC is truly a great place to live. We offer 3 delicious meals each day, with a choice of entrée, and snacks are available throughout the day. Fun and motivational activities await our residents and many are one on one, designed to stimulate the individual resident. Your laundry, housekeeping and maintenance chores will be taken care of so you don’t have a care in the world!

Our 24 hour nursing staff is second to none! They are professional, efficient, but most importantly – loving and kind. They are focused on one thing… your comfort, safety and well-being! We are also very proud of our therapy center! We have top notch therapists in physical, occupational and speech. So whatever your health needs are - we are here to help!
